Jeffery, W. J. 450 #2 Boxlock Double Rifle.  This particular rifle was completed 27 March '06 for

Lyon & Lyon of Calcutta, just in the year prior to the 450 caliber ban in India.   The bores are in as new, mint

condition.   No doubt this rifle sat out the ban in some armory or vault, waiting for ammo to again become

available.  The 14 5/8" stock is made without a cheekpiece, making the rifle equally useable for a right or

left hand shooter.  Overall condition is very good to excellent.  The action is completely tight on face and

water table.  No looseness anywhere; a testament to quality of the the builder and the lowest pressure

round among the bit DR calibers.  Still several generation of service available in this rifle. Cased in

Willesden canvas tropical case.
