George Gibbs 450/400 3 1/4 NE.  This particular rifle was the written about extensively

in the Autumn 1996 issue Double Gun Journal.  The article entitled; Transitions - Double Rifles -

From Black to Nitro, by Ross Seyfried, details a substantial amount of information pertaining to

the performance of this rifle.  The article also displays several images of the rifle before the

wood was refinished and the barrels reblacked.  Take special note of the picture of the locking

forearm release button.  I have not observed this feature on any other double rifle; which is

is surprising when considered how  critical is could be.   Bores remain excellent, with no cordite burn.

Sound on the face action.  Solid wood.  Just needs a new owner to take it back to Africa.
